Donald Trump Disses Taylor Swift During Eagles' White House Visit – E! Online

President Donald Trump alluded to Taylor Swift being bad luck for the Kansas City Chiefs at the 2025 Super Bowl during the Philadelphia Eagles’ White House visit as the NFL champions.
President Donald Trump remembers the 2025 Super Bowl all too well.
And he doesn’t think the presence of Taylor Swift, who notably began dating Chiefs' player Travis Kelce in 2023, benefitted the Kansas City team, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles during the February 9 championship game. In fact, Trump took a jab at Swift during the Eagles' White House Visit on April 28.
"I watched, in person," he said of his own Super Bowl 2025 experience, where he was the first sitting president to attend the big game. "I was there along with Taylor Swift, how did that work out? How did that one work out?"
His remark appeared to reference Swift—who came rooting for the Chiefs, but grew up an Eagles fan—receiving a hostile reaction while at the Super Bowl. When she was featured on the jumbotron in a televised moment, one could hear audible booing from the crowd.
And it wasn’t the first time Trump made a comment about Swift’s appearance at the Super Bowl.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social the night of the game. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
And while haters gonna' hate, many came to the defense of the Grammy award winner.
“I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f–king gets booed at the Super Bowl,” sportscaster Erin Andrews said during a Feb. 11 episode of her and Charissa Thompson’s podcast Calm Down With Erin and Charissa. “Get out of here!”
“She handles everything so well,” Charissa added. “And so does Travis. He handles this so well.”
Eagles' running back Saquon Berkley—who was in attendance at the White House visit—also shared that he wasn't a fan of the hate.
“I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed,” the team’s running back told Howard Stern on his self-titled SiriusXM show. “I don’t get why she was getting hate there.”
