Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, industrial leadership, and socioeconomic development with the release of a compelling new short documentary spotlighting its renowned Supply Chain Academy (SCA).
The documentary, titled “Powering Potential: Inside NBC’s Supply Chain Academy,” takes viewers inside the heart of NBC’s long-standing technical training institution and chronicles its transformation into a hub for developing the next generation of leaders in Nigeria’s manufacturing and supply chain sectors.
The newly released documentary features powerful testimonials from graduates, trainers, and senior leaders who share how the Academy has shaped careers, uplifted families, and contributed to national development.
Jolomi Fawehinmi, The People& Culture Director, Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC), explained that the curriculum of the academy was designed to equip trainees with both technical and leadership skills. Fawehinmi noted that the academy offers a blend of immersive classroom training with hands-on learning experiences with new intakes undergoing onboarding programs, practical sessions on mini production lines, and training in simulated environments, including driver simulators and safety behavior modules.

Fawehinmi emphasized that the academy offers an immersive blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experience. New trainees participate in comprehensive onboarding programs, practical sessions on mini production lines, and training in simulated environments, such as driver simulators and safety behavior modules.
Speaking further, she disclosed that the trainees also benefit from access to on-site facilities such as a clinic, a canteen, a library, and a digital learning lab. She described the training as a representation of how the company was investing and empowering young talents to become professionals and leaders of tomorrow.
Also commenting on the documentary, Idehen Misan Ilesanmi, the Supply Chain Capability Development Manager at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC), emphasized that the company’s goal is to develop trainees to the level where they can meet global leadership and technical standards.
“We are not just teaching them how to do a job but helping them grow into industry problem-solvers and innovators. I see the academy becoming even bigger, led by a team committed to transferring knowledge, experience, and excellence,” Ilesanmi said.

She stated that the technical training center remains the cornerstone of developing a highly skilled and adaptable workforce, adding that it is a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence.
One of the trainees, Qadri Oluwatobiloba, expressed profound gratitude to NBC for the invaluable experience gained, noting that the education provided surpassed all expectations. “Having been here for 9 months, I can affirm that the training and learning have been immensely transformative,” he added.
Another trainee who has since transitioned to a full-time employee, Blessing Eze, said the initiative provides trainees with the opportunity to learn with seamless transition from one function to another in the company.
The film is now available on NBC’s official YouTube channel (@nigerianbottlingcompany) and website and will be screened at select industry events and tertiary institutions nationwide as part of NBC’s youth engagement initiative.
Since its inception in 1996, the technical training school has made significant strides, with alumni seamlessly transitioning into full-time roles and contributing meaningfully across various departments. Their impact extends not only within NBC but also across several companies in the manufacturing industry.
The NBC Supply Chain Academy has now evolved into a full-fledged learning and development Centre that cuts across planning, procurement, production, and logistics. Today, it serves as a strategic pillar in NBC’s commitment to developing a highly skilled, adaptable, and leadership-ready workforce.
