Andy Byron, CEO of the New York-based tech firm Astronomer, is at the center of online speculation after a video from a Coldplay concert appeared to show him in an intimate moment with a woman who was not his wife.
The footage, which went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms, led to a wave of curiosity about Byron’s career and fortune. The video shows a man holding a woman in his arms while the two danced closely during the concert. When they noticed they were being broadcast on the venue’s big screen, they quickly backed away from the camera.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who was branded messy, remarked on the situation in real time, telling the crowd, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” After the clip circulated widely on social media, unverified reports surfaced naming the man as Andy Byron and the woman as Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer.
As the story gained traction, many online began searching for information about Byron’s background and finances. Though specific figures on his salary or assets are not public, an estimate has been reported of Byron’s net worth based on his role and company valuation. Plus, he could even see a lawsuit, which might hit his net worth.
“Astronomer was last valued between $1.2 billion and $1.3 billion after its Series D funding round in May 2025. As CEO, Byron likely holds an equity share in the company. Based on standard CEO ownership ranges for private startups, he could own between 1% and 5% of the company,” the Economic Times reported.
“This would place Byron’s estimated equity between $12 million and $65 million. When adding possible salary, bonuses, and stock options from his past executive roles, his overall net worth may range from $20 million.”
Before Astronomer spoke out about the situation, online activity had already raised eyebrows. Byron’s LinkedIn account has either been deleted or made private, and a Facebook account believed to belong to his wife appears to have dropped the surname “Byron.”
Additionally, Astronomer’s social media accounts have limited replies on recent posts.
Men’s Journal reached out to Astronomer for comment, asking whether the company could confirm or deny the identities of the people in the video.
After news of the likely net worth was released, fans added in their opinions as the video continues to gain more and more traction online.
One person responded on Twitter, "A nine‑figure apology sounds about right."
"Divorce lawyers everywhere are celebrating and the wife going to be laughing all the way to the bank," another chimed in.
A third joked, "I hope his wife takes him for every penny."
"I pray there’s no prenup," one more.
A final viewer added, "Hope that prenup is non existent or has an infidelity clause."
As of now, Astronomer has not responded to the massively viral moment.
