Careers – World Rugby

Rugby is a vibrant, inclusive and successful global sport practiced by more than 8.5 million men, women and children across 132 nations, and supported by a rapidly growing fanbase of over 500 million.
World Rugby is more than a leading international federation, we exist to make rugby better for everyone.
Within an attention economy, we are in an era of unprecedented lifestyle and entertainment choice and, like all sports, rugby must increase its share of audience if it is to grow and thrive. Driven by a clear mandate to grow the global game, World Rugby has transformed its business model to harness the opportunities that this new era presents. Our ambition is to supercharge the sport’s growth by making it more accessible and relevant to a broader audience.
Through a combination of business and major event hosting transformation, we are entering an unprecedented decade of opportunity and growth as we look towards our ‘north star’, men’s and women’s Rugby World Cups in the USA in 2031 and 2033.
World Rugby employs over 200 staff globally, with its headquarters located in Dublin, Ireland. We also have an office in London, UK.
To achieve these goals, we have restructured the organisation with dedicated International Federation, Women’s Rugby, Global Services and Events and Media pillars to enable us to continue to be a high performing governing body, while stimulating growth via media, events and revenue strategies.
World Rugby is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce to reflect the global nature of the rugby community. We welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of their background, and particularly those from underrepresented and disadvantaged groups. We strive to be a diverse and inclusive workplace, which reflects the global sport we want to be and where everyone can be themselves and feel they belong.
We want to ensure our hiring process is fair and inclusive, so we encourage you to disclosure any reasonable adjustments or special requirements on the application form, so we can support and help you to be at your best, when interviewing and during assessments.
We reward your contributions to growing rugby through a suite of benefits. These may differ depending on the employing entity and your work location and will be shared during the recruitment process.
