BAYFIELD, Wis. (Northern News Now) – Two people were rescued on Lake Superior Friday night after their boat started sinking.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the incident happened around 7 p.m. Friday near Bayfield, WI.
Crews responded after a boat with two people on board started taking on water.
The Coast Guard arrived to find the boat mostly underwater, and two people in Lake Superior.
They were rescued and brought to shore.
Currently, there is no update on who they are or their conditions and how the boat started sinking.
