On July 11, 2025, the Al-Fatih110 Telegram channel, which is affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq, posted three messages that include veiled threats to three bases that house American forces – in Iraq, in Kuwait, and in the Emirates.[1] Two of the posts include posters that the channel claims show aerial photographs of two of the bases, one in Kuwait and one in the Emirates, and refer to the monitoring of a third base, in Iraq. One of the posts describes the housing of U.S. forces as: “standing with the attacker,” and asserts: “He who embraces war will not be spared its fire.”
The following is a review of the posts on the Al-Fatih110 Telegram channel from July 11, 2025:
The channel first shared two posters that show what it claims is an aerial photograph of the Ali Al-Salem airbase in northwestern Kuwait and provide a general description of the base and the American troops deployed there. The text also states that the base is strategically important to the Americans and is used as “a key logistical and operational anchor for the American forces in Kuwait, and a vital support center for campaigns in Iraq and in the Gulf.” At the top of one of the posters the following words appear: “Remember, he who embraces war, won’t be spared its fire. Housing American bases is not neutrality but means standing with the attacker.”
About an hour after the two posters were shared, the channel posted a message saying that according to “special sources in the field… irregular logistical movements” had been observed at the “American Ayn Al-Asad base” in western Iraq. The channel stated that in the near future it would publish photographs that documented “what they don’t want you to see,” and also wrote: “Everything has been noted, and every point has been taken into account. Wait until the time is right.”
Approximately five hours after the previous post appeared, the channel shared what it claimed is an aerial photograph of the Al-Minhad airbase, south of Dubai in the Emirates. According to the channel, this base is used primarily by the United Arab Emirates Air Force, but also houses foreign forces “for temporary periods,” mostly those from Australia, Britain, and Canada, in the framework of “international military missions.”
It is notable that in the final weeks of June, against the backdrop of the Israel-Iran war, similar threats were made to attack bases where Americans are stationed in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, and Syria. These threats came from Dhu Al-Faqar Al-Kata’ib, another Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq,[2] and from an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-linked Telegram channel known as The Iranian Military Capacities.[3]
