Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of Tel Aviv in a new anti-regime protest as prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US President Donald Trump in Washington.
The protesters on Monday slammed Netanyahu’s policies, including his move to oust the regime’s top security and legal officials.
They also condemned the resumption of the genocidal war against the people of Gaza.
Families of Israeli captives held in Gaza also joined the protest, urging an end to the war and a deal to ensure the release of the captives.
The mass protest followed a weekly demonstration on Saturday in which protesters called on the regime’s cabinet to put the captives above other interests.
They also urged the regime to stop violating the Gaza ceasefire deal with Hamas.
The movement said it would only release the remaining captives in exchange for the release of more Palestinian prisoners, a permanent ceasefire, and Israel’s complete pullout from Gaza.
Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its genocidal war on the people of Gaza on March 18, carrying out a wave of acts of aggression across the strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.
Since then, the death toll has reached 1,391, with 3,434 others wounded, according to medical sources.
