Rory McIlroy burst onto the golf scene at a young age, winning the U.S. Open at just 21 years old and adding wins at the PGA Championship and Open Championship soon after.
While he quickly became one of the most recognizable players in the sport, McIlroy has gone the last eleven years without winning another major. He has his best chance in ages on Sunday at Augusta National, as he faces off with LIV rival Bryson DeChambeau.
McIlroy still has 43 career wins, meaning he’s earned himself a hefty payout while competing on the PGA Tour. The popularity that came with his early-career success also brought along numerous endorsement deals.

Here’s what you need to know about McIlroy’s career earnings and net worth as he tries to close out the 2025 Masters.
McIlroy has earned $181.4 million in his career, according to Spotrac. He and Tiger Woods are the only golfers in the history of the PGA Tour to surpass $100 million in career earnings.
McIlroy has made more than $76 million from winning official tournaments. His largest payout from a tournament was $4.5 million from the 2025 Players’ Championship. McIlroy has earned more than $6.2 million playing in major championships, with his biggest prize being more than $1.6 million from his 2014 Open Championship win.
Another $30.5 million has come through the Player Impact Program, which is set up to reward players who, in the PGA Tour’s words, “generate the most positive interest in the PGA Tour.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, McIlroy has an estimated net worth of $200 million.
On top of his PGA Tour winnings, McIlroy’s popularity has earned him numerous endorsement deals over the years. Among other deals, he has an equipment contract with Taylor Made, reportedly worth more than $100 million.
McIlroy’s incredible success at a young age, including four major championships by the age of 25, made him one of the faces of golf. He went for the career grand slam at the 2025 Masters, a feat that only five other players in the history of the game have accomplished.
