On Thursday, the Israeli army continued the genocide in the devastated, starved and besieged Gaza Strip, killing more than 50 Palestinians and wounding at least 152, including many children and women.
On Thursday evening, Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations in Gaza City and northern Gaza, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.
Media sources reported that a missile struck an apartment in Siddiq Tower, behind the Sahaba complex on Al-Yarmouk Street, killing five Palestinians and injuring several others. Another strike on Nakheel Street in the Tuffah neighborhood claimed the lives of five more Palestinians and left many wounded.
In Jabalia, northern Gaza, Israeli bombardment of a home near Halawa Junction killed at least twenty Palestinians and wounded dozens, many critically.
Meanwhile, an airstrike on a tent sheltering a displaced family near Saftawi Junction, west of Jabalia, killed two and injured several others.
Medical sources in Gaza confirmed that at least 61 Palestinians were killed on Thursday, with dozens more wounded in Gaza City and northern areas.
On its part, the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier, a tank driver, during battles in northern Gaza, along with the injury of two others, including an officer, who sustained serious wounds.
According to Israeli Army Radio, the soldiers were hit by sniper fire near Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza after an unsuccessful attempt to target them with an anti-armor missile.
The report stated that three soldiers were wounded—two critically—while the third suffered moderate injuries.
Separately, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that its flour supplies in Gaza have been completely depleted, leaving only 250 food parcels in its warehouses. The agency warned that the Israeli-imposed blockade, now in effect for more than 50 days, has led to a severe shortage of essential humanitarian supplies, including food, fuel, medical aid, and vaccines for children.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that it stock of food and relief items in the Gaza Strip is running out.
It is worth mentioning that the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) rejected on Thursday a request to annul or suspend the arrest warrants issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
In a statement, the Hague-based court noted that the Appeals Chamber accepted Israel’s appeal to reconsider the court’s jurisdiction over crimes committed in territories under the Palestinian Authority.
Israel argued that these territories do not constitute a state, that sovereignty remains unresolved, and that the court lacks authority to prosecute Israeli officials for crimes committed in Gaza and the West Bank.

However, the chamber dismissed Israel’s request to cancel or suspend the arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant, clarifying that this issue is separate from the question of jurisdiction and remains unaffected for now.
The decision requires the matter to be referred back to the Pre-Trial Chamber, which had issued its initial ruling on November 21, 2024, for further review of jurisdiction and examination of Israel’s arguments.
The ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber had issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant on November 21, 2024, after judges found “reasonable grounds to believe” that they were responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Earlier Thursday, April 24, thirteen Palestinians were killed and others wounded in Israeli shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Thursday that hospitals had received the corpses of 50 Palestinians, in the past 24 hours, including two individuals recovered from beneath the rubble. Additionally, 152 people were wounded due to the ongoing Israeli offensive
Following the collapse of the ceasefire, Israeli forces have intensified their aerial, ground, and naval bombardments, expanding the offensive in Gaza.
The escalating Israeli onslaught has resulted in hundreds of casualties, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and widespread displacement.
According to medical sources, more than 17,000 children have been killed since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 51,355, including 15,626 children, 9,807 women, 3,885 elders, 236 journalists and 23 medical staff, and the number of injuries to 117,248 since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, on destroyed streets and bombarded alleys.
