Donald Glover, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, has postponed the remainder of the North American leg of his New World Tour only one day before he was set to perform in Austin.
The actor, musician and comedian on Sunday afternoon told fans that the show scheduled for that evening at Houston’s Toyota Center would be postponed “due to illness.”
“Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets. All tickets will [be] honored for the new show date,” the post reads.

On Monday, Glover posted again, saying he was postponing the entire North American leg of the tour to focus on his physical health “for a few weeks.” The musician’s Austin show was scheduled for that same evening.
Glover directed fans to hold on to their tickets, saying “ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled.”

Glover did not go into detail about the status of his health, but Variety reported that the musician “was in fine voice and physical form at the tour’s first of two nights in Brooklyn last month.” They added that the show proves to be physically demanding.
The remainder of the North American leg of the tour was set to run from Sept. 10 in Austin to Oct. 3 in Chicago. The tour was then scheduled to move through Europe then New Zealand before ending with four dates in Australia; those dates will likely also be rescheduled.
Glover has yet to release new dates for the remainder of the tour.
