I don’t get why ABC has waited so long to announce the return of sure-things like L&O: SVU, One Chicago, etc. I know a lot of other shows are likely on the bubble, but why not just announce the return of the shows that are sure-things? It’s so late.
Oops I mean’t NBC, of course.
The Chicago trio have now officially been renewed.
All of the franchise shows require renegotiation/ raises for cast salaries especially those who have been there since first day as they are the most expensive. Its how SVU keeps a revolving door of cast members besides Mariska and Ice T and why they demoted Kelli Giddish to a recurring character asthey were the longest running cast members so they get the biggest chunk of the pie. Also factoring budget cuts as fiscal climate isn’t what it was ten or twenty years ago. So that’s why these decisions take time. I wouldn’t be surprised if one Chicago show and one L&O don’t get renewed.
Hopefully these are series finales for One Chicago and the Law and Order shows.
Both franchises have run their course.
They won’t be
All of them are being repeated on NBC from end of May and throughout the summer into September

You mean NBC
NBC is picking up the NBA next year to air on Tuesday nights, and once football ends, on Sundays too (Peacock is picking up Monday basketball). So they are losing time slots. But they really are cutting things down to the wire this year, the upfronts are less than a week away.
I will be watching Found and the Law and Order shows. It would be nice if we could have some good dramas or comedies on Wednesdays instead of all the reality shows.
I’ll definitely be watching Found, Chicago Med, Fire, and PD. And I’m rooting for Irrational and Brilliant Minds!
I wonder who gets promoted in the SVU season finale? Law & Order season finale sounds interesting! Mostly Severide centric episode in the season finale, I can’t wait to see Hermann pass his Chief’s test & Kidd trying to connect with Natalie’s sister! Well PD finale we know for sure has a Burzek wedding in it!
Why is it taking NBC so long to renew Law & Order, SVU & Suits LA?

Please Please Please cancel Suits LA and put it out of its misery. With the exception of occasional appearances from original Suits actors, and those who planned to appear, this series gets worst with each new episode. The acting, the story lines, the language, all trying to mimic to be like the original show just doesn’t cut it and never will. Want to keep the show? Only if they bring back the ORIGINAL actors and have them take over the LA office!
